I really don’t know where to start
I’m speechless about this story. From start to finish, the story has kept me in a hold and hasn't let go. A Sea of Blood and Sapphire is Florence Gray's debut new fantasy romance novel and is filled with romance, darker magic, intrigue, and even a bit of spice.
It’s a dark romance retelling of the little mermaid. In the beginning you can still experience this, but after a few chapters the story takes a great turn of its own. Love for the slow burn love between Ezra and Amaris. A story with a great exciting plot. An unstopstopable tale and as a mermaid fan certainly an indispensable story in your reading list! Greatly put together Florence! I'm curious what other beautiful stories you will come up with. Looking forward to it!

Mermaids of the cove have long since filled the Sapphire Sea with the blood of their enemies. Amaris, the youngest daughter of the King of the Seas, has been freed to join her cove in the hunt for her eighteenth birthday, her claiming day. A day for mermaids to finally breach the depths of the Sapphire Sea and ensnare their first prey. On her claiming day though, Amaris is horrified by the brutality of the attack and the agonizing cries of the sailors amongst the burning wreckage. Despite the consequences of intervening, Amaris cannot allow her mortal enemy to be lured to his death in the enchantment of the Sea.
With no other options, Amaris is forced to make a bargain that may very well cost her more than her voice in this dark and twisted Hans Christian Andersen retelling.
